Cookie Policy
How QuickWatch AI uses cookies and similar technologies, and the choices you have.
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how Brandlift Inc. and our providers use cookies and similar technologies (together, “cookies”) when you use the QuickWatch AI application and websites (the “Service”), and how you can manage them. It supplements our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle personal data more generally.
Where the law requires (for example, in the EU/EEA and UK), we set non-essential cookies only after you have given consent through our cookie banner or settings, and you can change your choice at any time.
2. What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files stored on your device when you visit a website or use an app. Similar technologies include SDKs, local storage, pixels, and device identifiers. They let the Service recognize your device, remember your choices, keep you signed in, and understand how the Service is used. Cookies may be set by us (first-party) or by a third party (third-party), and may last only for your session (session cookies) or persist between visits (persistent cookies).
3. How we use cookies
We use cookies for the following purposes:
3.1 Strictly necessary cookies
These are essential for the Service to work and cannot be switched off in our systems. They do not require consent. They include cookies that remember your login state and session, and a guest identifier (“guest_id”) used to track the status of videos you submit without logging in and to associate them with your browser or app session. Without these, core features will not function.
3.2 Preference cookies
These let the Service remember choices you make — such as language or theme — to give you a more personal experience. If disabled, some preferences may not be saved.
3.3 Analytics cookies
These help us understand how the Service is used so we can improve it — for example, which features are used and where problems occur. We may use providers such as Google Analytics. We may also use them to test new features, pages, or messaging. Where required, we set these only with your consent.
3.4 Authentication / third-party login
If you choose to sign in with a third-party provider (such as Google OAuth), that provider may set cookies to authenticate you. Those cookies are governed by the provider’s own policies.
4. Cookies we use
The table below describes the main cookies and similar technologies used by the Service. Specific names and durations may change as we update the Service.
| Name / type | Purpose | Category | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| guest_id | Tracks status of videos submitted by guests; links them to your session | Strictly necessary | Session / up to 12 months |
| session / auth token | Keps you securely signed in | Strictly necessary | Session |
| preferences | Remembers language, theme, and settings | Preference | Up to 12 months |
| Google Analytics (e.g. _ga) | Measures usage and performance | Analytics | Up to 24 months |
| Google OAuth | Third-party sign-in/authentication | Authentication (third-party) | Per provider |
5. Third-party cookies
Some cookies are set by third parties that provide services to us, such as analytics providers (e.g. Google Analytics) and authentication providers (e.g. Google OAuth). We do not control these cookies. Please review the relevant third party’s privacy and cookie policies for details and choices.
6. Your choices
6.1 Consent tool. Where required, you can accept or reject non-essential cookies through our cookie banner or in-app settings, and change your choice at any time.
6.2 Browser and device controls. You can delete or block cookies through your browser settings, and limit identifiers through your device’s privacy settings (for example, advertising-ID and tracking controls on iOS and Android).
6.3 Effect of blocking. If you delete or block cookies, some features may not work properly — for example, you may be signed out, lose saved preferences, or be unable to track guest video submissions.
6.4 Analytics opt-out. You can opt out of Google Analytics using the tools Google provides.
7. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy as our use of cookies or the law changes. Material changes will be notified as required, and the “Last updated” date will reflect the latest version.
